Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) Caregiver Training
TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research. Let Hope Street help you explore pathways to resolve trauma and develop everyday trauma-informed responses and relational connections that strengthen and support individual and community resilience.
This TBRI® Caregiver Training is designed to move from theory, to changed mindsets, from “what’s wrong with you? to “what happened to you?” to new relational skills, to behavioral application, and ultimately renewed relationships. Sharing knowledge around understanding and seeing a child’s needs and providing real-life skills for use with children and families sets the stage for healthy cooperative relationships. These training workshops are appropriate for teachers, caregivers, professionals, and anyone who is interested in learning more about how unresolved trauma and Positive and Adverse Childhood Experiences (PACEs) impact children...and what we can all do to foster resilience throughout the lifespan.
Goals
- Gain insight into healing-centered care and practices;
- Identify strategies to apply the three TBRI® principles of Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting; and
- Be able to advocate for the importance of TBRI® strategies and practices.
